I moved to the Outer Banks of North Carolina in 2022, after over 20 years of vacationing on the Island with my family & friends.
Over the past 10 years I have dedicated my profession to massage therapy and enhancing wellbeing; by having over 80 hours of CEU’s; that range from Nutrition to Thai Massage.
In March of 2023 I opened my own practice & today I continue to enhance my degree with many different types of modalities.
SWEDISH MASSAGE
Swedish massage can help relieve symptoms of anxiety, depression, and general distress.
The main goal of Swedish massage is to calm your body and mind while relieving muscle tension.
Swedish massage involves techniques like effleurage, petrissage, kneading, tapotement, friction, and vibration.
DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
Deep tissue massage is a massage technique that’s mainly used to treat musculoskeletal issues, such as strains and sports injuries. It involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. This helps to break up scar tissue that forms following an injury and reduce tension in muscle and tissue.
Promotes faster healing by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation.
THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE
Therapeutic massage is a type of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) practice often used to treat muscle pain, injury, and stiffness. Massage therapy has also been used to treat mental and emotional problems, including stress, anxiety, and depression.
MEDICAL MASSAGE
Medical massage is a form of therapeutic massage that focuses on treating medical conditions and improving physical functioning. It is usually done by a trained massage therapist and may involve a range of massage techniques, such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, acupressure, and trigger point therapy. Medical massage is used to treat a variety of conditions, including chronic pain, muscular tension, and inflammation, as well as to promote relaxation and improve overall health.
THAI MASSAGE
Thai massage is a traditional healing practice that originated in Thailand over 2,500 years ago. Known for its unique approach, it blends assisted yoga-like stretching with rhythmic compression to rejuvenate both the body and mind. For those wondering what is a Thai massage, it is more than just a typical relaxation therapy; it is an experience aimed at promoting energy balance and physical well-being.
